Is there a way to scroll through a photo collection without "digging" or "nixing" each one?

I don't think so other that getting out and getting back in which is certainly a big pain in the you know where.

that is all I have figured out to do as well

You would think they could put in a skip because but they feel all photos should have some kind of vote. If a butt ugly photo received 100 nix votes, it could probably be considered for Photo of the Day since, apparently, no one knows what type of vote a photo received!

I'm with Audrey- I think they should put a skip option in individual profiles so you don't have to start from scratch if a pic comes up that you don't want to vote for. I'm with Gary because I don't see a point in having a Nix It option. The person only sees that you voted- not that you voted against it so it really isn't helpful. However, I don't think you should be required to leave a comment on photos you vote for, no matter how short or how long the comment is. I'm a full time student, I have 2 jobs and it's all I can do to squeeze in as many votes as possible when time allows.

I am sure admin has received numerous emails and read numerous forum posts. I have no doubt they know there are a few flaws in the system. No web site is perfect. There are a lot of people on this site and it would be impossible to please everyone. But give it a little more time and hopefully improvements will be made. Let's not forget this is their first time doing a project like this (as far as I know). Just be happy there is a site like this one where beginners and professionals alike can come together to share and learn.

On a personal note...I have seen some amazing photos the last couple weeks and I've been scrambling to vote as much as possible these last few days. I'm sure I have overlooked some of the regular people I vote for but I promise, it was NOT intentional. And I'd like to say thank you to everyone for your support, your votes, your help, etc. There are so many amazing people on this site and I wish everyone the best of luck!!!

Peace and Love everybody-

I agree with the part on being able to skip to the next photo, and vote for the one you like.However.I think that everyone who uploads a photo to the site and wishes to share it with others,is automatically going to think that their photo is award worthy. It is a competitive nature, and weather one wishes to admit it ,or not,we all want to win.I Like to share my photos ,because I feel very proud that I can showcase a great image. Now as a novist photographer, sometimes a photo holds sentimental value, that others may not understand or get,Which is why I feel bad ,cause sometimes a photo may be out of focus or just plain bad,but that is only when we are judging it,to where the individual that uploaded it ,may feel proud and happy that they captured something that is pleasing, evokes an emotion,or has a sentimental value of some sort.I think its bad that you have to vote regardless, because I believe in the saying,Keep it cute,or keep it mute.It really is about taking other peoples feelings in account,Again we all want to win,Yes it is our competitive nature,But sometimes its just nice to share an image that you were able to capture just by experimenting, just because.I know for a fact that there are thousands of images that have been downloaded, that in my opinion, should have won,and didnt,They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and just because you think in your mind its great, there may be others who think,it aint that great, its really about personal taste and prefrence, and what interest you, , .So its hard because you dont want to be so critical that it makes the person feel badly.Istead I believe in concentrating on the positive aspects of the capture.I think in the end its always better to hear something that is of a positive nature, words of love and compassion. But then again,Im not a judge, thank God,lol,Or everyone would win.Just because your image didnt get chosen as POTD,doesnt mean it isnt good enough.Everyone in this site is very gifted, and offers so much.I myself have come to know very gifted photographers on this site, that I admire, and love their style, weather, abstract, macro, architecture, landscape, whatever it is ,its a wonderful site to see the amazing shots people take on a daily basis.I think we all bring something unique and special to the site.In my eyes everyone is a Winner. As for myself,Everyone knows,im a Chatter box,I love leaving comments,I dont think its should be required, cause as Chimene mentioned, some of us,with work, and jobs and everything else, sometimes we dont have the extra time to dedicate to comments.I Myself love to let people know what intrigued,or touched me about a particular capture,But thats just me.I think as photographers,We all like to hear feedback, and give thanks.I love evryone on this site, and as Chimene said ,I bid you all.....Peace and Love everybody :)

What I wish for most is that the editors start to recognize vertical photos for potential POTD winners. I have seen some fan-freakin-tastic vertical photos that stayed in the "popular pictures" section for an entire day and yet, did not win. If they don't work for a calendar format, fine. But at least let them be recognized in some way. (And perhaps figure out a way for them to have more space like horizontal photos do!!)

Joel- love your spirit. :]

4 hours left to vote for as many people as possible... my keyboard is on fire!

I have a question, for anyone that can help out,I saw that we have a photo challenge for wide angle photography, and I would like to know what that means, how do you know if you got a wide angle shot, what qualifies as a wide angle etc. I would like to participate, but im not sure if I even have the right lens for it.Thank you soooo much :)

Joel, what is the focal length of your lenses? Your lens should state the mm. The contest rules state ultra wide which is less than 21mm or anything else that is from 21-35mm. I have a 16-85mm lens that I could use as long as I didn't zoom past the 16mm. 16mm on a digital lens is equivalent to 24mm on a film lens. Hope this helps.
