The setting sun highlighted the deep orange of this cholla blossom.
A hungry Vulture was annoyed when I interrupted his breakfast
Cabin on Turkey Creek
This cabin on Turkey Creek near Goodwin is still used by the wranglers that work their herds though here. It is been saved from wildfires numerous times by the Forest Service, they keep a caring eye on this site.
My Spaghetti Squash.bloomed for a short time after the sun rose, but closes fast when the heat comes on.
Visited the ugliest cactus garden in the state this morning, managed to snap a few photos.
Got to get up earlier to catch better blooms.
Burfind Hotel, Gillette
Each time I visit this site, the ruins are even more crumbled, probably by insensitive vandals.
The East Verde River flows fast and cold after a thaw.
Fossil Creek Aquaduct
Before the decommissioning of the Fossil Creek Power Plant, the crystal clear water finally came to the surface at this point just above Stehr Lake. My all-time favorite swimming hole and flume ride!
I thought I would, for the first time, share some of my photographs online. Most were taken since going digital in 2002. I have never shared until now, I don't do social media. I like to visit remote areas, and have taken lots of photos along the way. After seeing all the excellent photos on this site, I thought CMA is the most appropriate venue for displaying my photos of memorable Arizona adventures. And I will try to get out more to use what I learn here to improve my techniques. Until then, I will post some of my favorites that I like best.
I hope you enjoy my photographs, and sincerely appreciate your comments.
